Tour description :

Nestled at the borders of Mongolia, Russia, and China, the majestic Altai Tavan Bogd massifs form an untouched wilderness, rich in wildlife, including snow leopards, ibex, and argali sheep. These stunning snow-capped peaks, meaning “the five holy,” present unique challenges and offer breathtaking views. Our expedition aims to summit three of the five peaks above 4,000 meters above sea level: Mt. Khuiten (4,374 m) accessible via PD grade route, Mongolia’s highest peak; Mt. Nairamdal (4,180 m); and Mt. Malchin (4,050 m). Our itinerary includes traversing the Potanin Glacier, the longest glacier in Mongolia at 19 km, as we climb these summits. Under the guidance of experienced mountaineering guides, we will conduct glacier training and acclimatization treks during our initial days at base camp to ensure a successful ascent for all participants. Our expedition will be supported by local Tuvan herders, serving as our camel drivers and porters, enriching our experience with their unique culture and traditions. Our adventure commences in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Here, we shall explore the National Museum and enjoy a traditional performance by the “Tumen Ekh” ensemble before embarking on a flight to Olgii, the Altai region of Western Mongolia.

Arrival in UB and city tour

Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our local staffs (drivers and guide) will pick you up at the international airport of Chinggis khan. You will be transferred to a centrally located three-star hotel.
At noon, you will be escorted for a guided city tour that highlights the city’s most notable attractions, impressive National History Museum, Sukhbaatar Square and the Parliament building.
As the evening approaches, at 6:00 PM, experience a traditional Mongolian show at Tumen Ekh ensemble, featuring folk dances, contortion, and khoomii, the unique throat singing, followed by a welcome dinner.
