Our company
Founded in 2021 by Otgoo, an experienced mountain guide and tour manager, along with his wife Tuvshee, a multilingual tour guide fluent in English and French, MONGOLIA CLIMBING TOURS is here to inspire mountain enthusiasts with exciting adventures. We aim not only to provide thrills but also to support the local economy, promote environmental awareness, and practice sustainable tourism.
With the rising interest in mountain climbing tours in Mongolia, we recognized the need for professional services that meet international standards and we assembled a team of professionals to pave the new ways. We offer specialized activities such as mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing, trekking and horseback riding tours, introducing travelers to the breathtaking Altai, Khangai, and Sayan Mountains. We prioritize working closely with local communities to involve them in tourism while preserving their unique cultures, lifestyles, and the natural beauty of Mongolia. This involves interacting respectfully with local families, visiting or staying with nomadic families who share their gers (yurts), local foods, and dairy products, and supporting local artisans by purchasing their handicrafts.

Our team
Our team is mostly consisted of local members, multi-linguist tour guides, drivers, expedition cooks and local porters, who are our core key of success. Each of them has at least 5 years of professional experience. We don’t hesitate that their charisma, qualified skills and knowledge will make your long-planned, dreamed travel real and a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Otgonkhuu (Otgoo) Managing director
Otgoo is former skyrunning, ice climbing athlete and actual founder of Mongolia Climbing tours, trip planner, experienced mountain guide. He works also as sport climbing instructor at Mongolian Climbing Federation.
While studying tourism management at the National University of Mongolia, Otgoo often found himself exploring the stunning high mountains of Mongolia, which became his true classroom. Over the past 12 years, he discovered his passion for mountaineering, which has shaped his life and career. Before establishing his own company, Otgoo worked as a lead guide in the Altai Mountains, specifically on Mt. Khuiten, the highest peak in Mongolia. He guided hundreds of adventurers through the beautiful mountains of the country.
Otgoo has a remarkable achievement to his name: he initiated the 24 HOURS/5 challenge in 2020, inviting mountain enthusiasts to climb the five highest summits of the Altai Mountains within 24 hours. He successfully completed this challenge in 2022, showcasing his dedication to the sport and the mountains he loves. During your expedition with him, you can expect expert guidance in mountaineering and trekking.
Tuvshinjargal (Tuvshee) – Sales Manager
Graduated from International relations studies in Mongolia, afterward University of Starsbourg in France, Tuvshee speaks fluently French and English. During her early professional career in public and cultural institutions, she once guided a group of French speaking tourists, discovering for the first time her homeland from north to famous Gobi Desert. At the end of the trip, she realized that she should be belonged here, in tourism. At first, travelling was her passion, then become her profession. Over the 10 years of the experience, she could enjoy the opportunity to travel and discover every corner of her country by hiking, on horseback and 4×4. She is definitely your first contact in Mongolia and will help you to build your travel.
Davaadorj (Davaa) – Logistics and reservation manager
Davaa, a former music teacher, has been part of our team since the beginning. He loves to travel and pays close attention to details. For the past five years, he has managed our logistics and reservations. With his experience as both a professional and an educator, he brings valuable expertise to our tour agency. His teaching background helps him explain things clearly, making sure our team runs smoothly and efficiently.
Ariuntsetseg (Ariunaa) – Accountant
Ariunaa is a hardworking and detail-focused professional who plays a key role in keeping our tour agency financially sound. With a solid background in banking and accounting, she brings more than ten years of financial know-how to our team. Before coming to MONGOLIA CLIMBING TOURS, Ariunaa worked as a bank cashier at Khas Bank for six years. During that time, she gained valuable experience in financial transactions, customer service, and managing cash.
GUIDES: Our English and French-speaking guides are the heart of a safe and rewarding adventure. Possessing an in-depth knowledge of Mongolian history and culture, they not only share the breathtaking beauty of our country with you but also become your companions and friends along the way. Additionally, our guides are skilled riders and trekkers, adding to the richness of your journey.
DRIVERS: Traveling through Mongolia is not just a simple trip; it’s an exciting adventure through beautiful landscapes like rough terrains, wide-open steppes, and steep mountain passes. Our drivers, with over 10 years of experience, navigate the unmarked and unpaved roads of the countryside with ease. They aren’t just excellent drivers; they’re also skilled mechanics who can tackle any challenge that comes their way.
COOKS: Our talented cooks specialize in both Asian and European cuisine, crafting delicious camping meals that cater to everyone’s taste. From traditional Mongolian dishes to international flavors, they create satisfying and healthy options for meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike. With portable cooking equipment, our chefs prepare gourmet meals in the great outdoors, allowing you to savor every bite while taking in the breathtaking views of Mongolia!
